Lake Sawyer Bank Angling

Post by NineFingerFury » Mon May 23, 2016 7:43 pm

Found some spots during a walk on the south end of the lake on Lake Sawyer Regional Park. Looking to catch my first bass. Do these spots look promising? [confused]

Well, no luck this morning, but I did get a few blowups where Rock Creek comes into Sawyer with my KVD Sexy Frog. I'm looking into renting a boat from the resort.

I was going to go, but good thing I didn't, saved a day from being used un-nesesarily next week. lol (had a chance to take the new boat to Sammamish for a training run with the dealer.)

Tomorrow looks to be the same weatherwize as today. I should be there, don't know what time, or for sure where on the lake I'll try.

[laugh]

Ok, ok. Bring whatever rods and tackle you have, sounds like you don't have a whole lot yet, correct?

If you have a lot of tackle and rods, bring the following;

Dropshot, crankbait-shallow and mid and deep divers, worms with weights. Skirted jigs. That mouse you have in the picture in the other thread, and any frog you might have, and other topwaters-buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits. Swim baits, big and little. Camera for when you catch the biggie of the day. [laugh]

I'll bring my spinning and baitcasting reels and my very limited tackle haha. I'll be at the boat launch by 7:00. White GMC truck, wearing Mariners cap.

Just saw this on YouTube and thought I'd try it tomorrow. Mostly weedless wacky worm. Used one of my daughter's hair ties. Put a small nail in the head of one end. Here's what I ended up with.
