My Potholes Trip

Post by rl206 » Sat Jul 31, 2010 6:58 am

The dad and I decided to go the Potholes instead of fishing lakes around the house
Our trip was the July 27th-29th
Daytime highs were high 90's- low 100's
Water temps for the main lake were between 73-77
Some spots in the dunes hit 81
Fishing was slow according to Mar Don, we found fish though!

Fish were released except for 3 walleye, weighing at 6.78 lbs, 6. 64 lbs, and 3.14 lbs

Smallies were picked up in 11-28 ft
Largies were picked up tight in cover

The water level has dropped 11 ft in the last 3 weeks, (heads up for anyone going soon)First pic

Most fish came off cranks, and even got a topwater session in the evening

Great job rl. My first time to the res was the 4th of July week and we did great also. Water level was real high so we could go anywhere.

Wow, looks like it was a lot of fun. I have to get over to East WA and fish there sometime, nice catches!
