RE:Fished Tapps the last few days
Thanks alot Todd! I will definitely pm you to get your number. However, I just got my first job coming out of college and I start monday. That will take a little hit on my fishing time. Oh well, I am sure I will still be out there. It is always fun trying to learn a new fishery. I didn't really star...

Fished Tapps the last few days
I went out to Tapps the last few days, one day with the boat and the other just off the dock and a causeway. I caught a bunch of smaller smallmouths (anywhere from 8-12"). I also caught a 4-5 12"-14". I just have a little 9' livingston with a trolling motor so I don't have a depth finder. It took me...

Bass Pro Shops Stik-O's
I just received these in the mail last week and i got to test them out the other day. These things are way better than those stupid Senko's! Ok, I like the Senko, but $6 for 10 of them is ridiculous. Also, Senkos only last one or two fish and then they are done. These Bass Pro Stik-O's come in a 20 ...

RE:Fishing Partner and Small Lakes around Sumner
Wow, float tubing Tapps has to be an experience. The stupid boaters were within 50 feet of our dock all day long on the 4th. You must have to go out there early. I would be glad to tube Tapps with you some night. I figured I would put in near driftwood point, but there would be a lot more paddling o...

RE:Any suggestions for decent sized bass?
Just depends on technique and the body of water. I am sure the lakes and ponds you are fishing in have them it just takes time to recognize their patterns (like you said). If it is overcast and/or there is a cold front moving in the bass stop biting on senko type worms (for me anyways), so I have to...

RE:Fishing Partner and Small Lakes around Sumner
One thing that was weird about the fish was that it had a ring on the side of its face that looked like it had been cut in a circle. You could see flesh on the outside fo the circle. The 20 incher I caught at Lake Bonney a month ago had the same thing. Anyone know what that is? Is it a virus or dise...

RE:Fishing Partner and Small Lakes around Sumner
The background was really blurry and I was trying to use it as a desktop. The picture was taken by my grandpa and I had to scan it into my computer so the quality was bad. I caught it around 5:00 pm with a senko. That was a good day because 15 minutes before that I had caught one that was only a tad...

Dilbert: Have you ever fished lake Jane? There are a ton of bass in there. Unfortunately there is an overabundance of small largies so it stunts the overall growth a bit, but here is a pic from last summer when I fished it. This bass was only 19", but it weighed a tad over 6 lbs on a digital scale. ...

Sommyson: did you see that post like 2 posts below your post on lake desire. The guy was talking about how he doesn't want to hear about the 5lb bass that broke some kids pole under the dock. I thought that was hilarious because now there is a little picture teaser for him too!

RE:Fishing Partner and Small Lakes around Sumner
I normally catch the bigger ones in the back left part of the lake. If you go from the boat launch and go to the far left corner you are there. Some have been caught under the trees on the right, but just the other day I caught one out in front of a guys house. It was 18" and the guy came out to ask...

Fishing Partner and Small Lakes around Sumner
Summary: Age 23, want bass fishing partner (of any age), I float tube, good with smaller lakes but limited big lake experience It would be nice to go fishing with someone instead of always going by myself. I mainly fish for bass and I do not have a boat, but I do have a float tube. I have been going...

RE:Camping/Bass Fishing spot
Thanks for the response I will definitely check it out. I only have a float tube right now but my sea doo should be up and running in a few days, so that could work as my super fast bass tracker. It is a 3 seater so I don't have to worry about tipping.

Camping/Bass Fishing spot
I am just looking for a good place to go camping and catch a few bass. We will be taking some women along so the campground has to be fun as well.
