Maybe it's looked at like "flossing" is in river settings. All I know is that it works for most any species and is legal in our State. If it helps you catch fish and learn the lay of the lake why would you not do it? Rules are made up for many different reasons and not all of them make sense. MissB...

Whether it be casting from shore or trolling, I've always had great success using Wedding Rings as well. I usually put a small dallop of PowerBait or worm on the hook too. Have tried Panther Martins, Rooster Tails, Dick Knights, etc. with minimal success. Actually haven't caught a single trout using...
