RE:First time fishing the salt
All thanks for the advice. GPC what kinda fish I wouldn't want to eat? I will be trying 5" plastics called Big Hammer Swimbaits. They are hot down in Cali and you can use them in freshwater too. Sam why do you suggest going outside of the marina instead of where the boats park? Could you explain wha...

RE:Berkley Gulp! products
I shoulda said I was after panfish. I bought the skinny little Gulp garden worms today but I bought some live meal worms as a backup. I love fishing for bluegill. The big ones fight so hard on ultra light rods and 4 lb test. No Clothes, I have only been fishing once this season. It seems like everyt...

Berkley Gulp! products
Has anyone tried Berkley Gulp! line of baits? I am thinking using them for some panfish and I have heard and seen good reviews. But being a suspicious person by nature I don't always trust reviews on websites.

Check out the lake behind the hospital. It is a small lake that drains from Sunset Pond. There are some decent fish in there especially fish fry size fish. All the usual suspects are there: bluegill (slabs), perch, cutthroat trout, bass, bullhead and I heard the occasional salmon. I haven't fished t...

RE:Calif style swim baits
Sam to each his own, but I am sure most bass in our lakes have probally seen a spinnerbait or two in its lifetime if not already this spring (unless it is a huge lake like Washington). The swimbaits are unique and very rare up here. Its something almost all of the bass here have not seen before. Thi...

RE:Bellingham Guys...26lb. Channel Catfish!
I already know bout them big ole cats in Terrell. It is not well known that Terrell has the potential state record channell there. You are right not many people target channels, but I am not one of them. I tried once or twice last year but I did not catch any. This year I have the right gear and I wi...

Trout fishing at Padden drops off quite a bit about one month after the opening weekend. It can take a couple of hours to limit out come the end of May into June.

Hey noclothes, if you know where Kmart is in B'Ham there is a lake behind it. I used to fish there all the time. I need to go back. Anyway there is some good shore access and that lake is a sleeper. I caught my biggest largemouth (4lbs), biggest perch (1lbs), biggest bluegill (1/2 lbs), and biggest ...

$11 on ebay. You can find some without the segmented bodies for around $8. I know that is alot for one lure but I figured if that bait can help me catch a 7 pounder it is worth it. Besides the one I bought is a floater so I have a better chance of retrieving it.

RE:Lake Padden Bass?
Smallmouth would be the bass of choice in Padden with the clear water, big rocks, big crawdads and deep water (think kokanee). They would get fat too off of the trout.

Calif style swim baits
Has anyone tried and was successful at using the California style trout imitating swim baits? Those guys use the big 12" and under baits that mimic the stocked rainbows. Those guys kicks some serious "bass" with those. I figured if they work down there they should work up here on bass lakes that get...
