Re: favorite trout dough
The dough works okay for me. I do prefer the Power Eggs, as they will keep coming back for it. I have had good luck with a garlic scent also.

Re: Cold water fishin'
I don't know. I've tried Powerbait eggs off of the bottom and worms with a bobber on top, in
January. Looking over my fishing log, I've have not had much luck in January. I don't they are very active. I would think bait on the bottom might be best.

General Fishing Tips and Ideas
Just a place to put out some fishing tips. Here are a few of mine: * When you tie your swivel on your line, leave some excess line on the remainig end. Attach your weights to the remaining end. If you get a snag, you may just lose that, instead of all your rig. * Put excess Power Eggs and rubber lur...

Davis Lake in Lewis County
I see that the lake is stocked. Anybody tried Davis Lake in east Lewis County? Are there places to fish from the bank? Thanks for your input.

RE:Whats everybodys favorite campsites in thurston? And lewis
Here's my take and comments: 1. Taidnampum Park, Riffe Lake, Nice park, clean restrooms, with flowers in them, a litle more expensive than the state parks, has a fishing bridge and the fishing usually is great. 2. Millersylvania State Park, Deep Lake, rather dusty at the camp sites, limited areas to...

RE:Anybody been to riffe lake lately?
Hi,
I go out there quite a bit. I prefer the dam area, but both have been good for me. I like being down closer to water. I think you can find a spot to fish from easier. It is not as far a drive for me as well.
Sorry I did not see this earlier.

Free Fishing Weekend Coming Up - How Packed Does it get at Riffe Lake at the Dam?
Hi all, Anybody been to Riffe Lake, at the dam, on the free fishing weekend? I was wondering how crowded it gets, during the middle of the day. I was there on Saturday. I counted 22 people fishing, on a holiday weekend. Comparable to opening day? I usually avoid the free fishing weekend, but I'd lik...

Fish Taking a Look at You
Hello all, I was fishing at Carlisle Lake from the bank, with a bobber. The bobber was only about eight feet from the bank. This fish, I think it was a trout, pops up, kind of like a whale does to look around. It popped up for a second in a vertical position, right next to the bobber. Looks directly...

RE:Best spinners for trout?
I like the Kastmaster silver lures. They have a nice weight to them, for casting. I smear some powerbait on the side, with a bit of worm trailing off of the hook.
