Omak area fishing
Was thinking of taking a couple days next week to try my hand fishing out east. Found a pretty decent hotel deal near Omak but now realize I have absolutely no idea what to fish for and where this time of year. I’ll most likely be confined to the bank with your typical light spin casting rods and a ...

Cranberry Lake—Anacortes
So to clarify, there’s one in the Deception Pass area but I’m interested in the one in Anacortes proper...anyone have any experience fishing there/know what’s in it?

Re: Whatcom Creek - Bellingham Wa
Thank you! That's kinda where I was leaning but the weighted lure thing was a little confusing.

Re: Whatcom Creek - Bellingham Wa
Think I might give it a shot today. It's been a couple years and the Nooksack refuses to give me any luck. Question, is floating a jig in compliance with anti-snagging rules? Seems like it straddles the line legally.

Re: Strangest by Catch pictures!
I don't have a picture (how I wish I did!) but I went fishing on Lake Terrell a few years back and my line snapped on the cast. Weight, swivel, leader, hook all goes sailing off into the great beyond. Didn't think much of it, carried on. Next day I'm out again and hand to God I reel in a pile of wee...

Re: Nooksack river fishin
I'm in the same boat. I've been salmon fishing up here for the last 5 years...convinced I'm cursed. Caught two silvers my first weekend back in 2012. That's literally been it...I've tried Cascade, Skagit, Nooksack, Samish...used all the usual techniques and I can't seem to win.

Re: Nooksack Boundarys??
There was some life around Harksel yesterday about 430...nothing caught but that's the first time I've seen more than 1 fish jump this season. I'm headed that way in a little bit...let you know how it goes.

Re: Nooksack Boundarys??
I've been out about 7 times this year (actually ran into you, dj2loud) and aside from the one report at Nugents and a few scattered rumors of tons of fish (mostly from the guys selling bait) it's been dead. I had heard that you generally don't fish south of Slater road but every map I can find sugge...

Re: Tagging along with you on the Nooksack
I live just outside of Ferndale as well...I'm looking for people to tag along with on the banks. I throw almost exclusively spoons but didn't have much luck. I'm pretty new to the whole fishing thing but am not a total newb...just looking to learn some new techniques or fix the ones I've already scr...
