Interesting I've never seen it before. I don't know of any fish diseases that are transferable to humans but it still sounds gross. I have a president on my trout set up and love it. When it comes to salmon/steelhead I'm a baitcaster guy but if I were to get a spinning reel it would be a president or penn battle. The battle is rated for saltwater and j ust feels solid.

I own the sst in 8'6" for throwin gear and the convergence in 10' for drifting and floating bait, both in casting models. I like both rods and bring both to the river with me. I think its like buying a firearm, you just gotta go with what feels good in your hands.

I have tried the tear aid on my 9' hypalon raft and after a hot day in the sun it bubbled up and gave out. I don't think its a bad product I just don't think it works as a permanent fix.

Finally caught my first steelhead yesterday. Very small native (released) but a fish is a fish and im ready for the next one!
