Re: Need a back-up LMB lake near Fall City/North Bend

I haven't fished it in a few years but Tradition Lake east of Issaquah had nice bass. You need to carry your tube about half a mile.

I have never seen or heard of smallmouth in Storm Lake but maybe..... A photo would help if you get a chance for one.

RE:How big is this fish???

Today I caught a bass that was 23" length and 16" girth, my personal best. Using those numbers, a website estimator says 8.3 lbs. Any opinion if that weight is fairly accurate?

RE:Lost lake in Monroe?

I have fished Lost Lake twice this year. Caught lots of small bass (not over 11") and nothing else. Convenient, fun and pretty lake but I want some larger fish.

RE:Good shore fishing lakes?

I asked the same question back in June and got no replies. My suggestion is t o try Cottage Lake in Woodinville or Flowing lake in Monroe. Both have fishing docks which makes fishing with kids a little more manageable.

Where to take some young girls fishing

I have promised to take my friend's daughters (aged 9 & 10) fishing. I mostly fly fish from a one man pontoon so my normal approach will not work. I am looking for a place on the East Side (samamish area) where I can take the girls with a reasonable chance of them catching something - trout, bass, p...

RE:Selective gear rules

A few years ago when fishing Lone Lake in February I saw the WDFW officers ticketing fishermen who had motors on their boats even though they were tipped up out of the water. As others have noted the rules are very clear.

RE:Catchable Trout Plant Reports

I notice that the WDFW Stocking schedule and the actual stocking reports vary quite a bit. Some lakes that were scheduled for March stocking are now going to be stocked in late April. The WDFW seems to upload their weekly stocking reports on Thursday.

RE:I am a traitor

Try using a surface lure in weedbeds. Nothing like watching a 30+" fish taking your surface lure! I used to do it in the summertime in 1000 Islands area of Ontario.

RE:? about BUZZBAITS

It always seemed that bass were short striking my buzz baits, so I added a trailing hook. Last week I caught 8 bass on a buzz bait and only one needed the trailer. Of course I am happy I had the trailer or I would have missed that fish and the trailer did not seem to prevent the other bass from hitt...

Drop Shot advice please

I cannot get the hang of drop shotting. Here's my setup and approach: I usually use a quarter ounce sinker maybe 18" under a #4 hook and use a 3 or 4" worm or creature. Cast, let it sink, shake it a bit, move it a bit, repeat. Never catch anything this way. Any advice for me?

That's great advice you gave: don't let others ruin your day. Yes there are idiots and rude people out there, but ignore them as best as you can and keep fishing.

Historical Data - fishing forecast

I have been looking at the Fishing Forecast for a selected lake in the Historical Data tool and I am a bit confused. When I request a Forecast how is the forecast calculated? Why does the forecast seem to extend farther into future some lakes than for others?

Can we have some Rules for reports?

May I suggest that the moderators post some rules for writing reports on the Reports page? The recent report for Clear Lake is a fine report, but it is general in nature and gives the lake a 5* rating. A five star rating for a lake posted in March is certainly going to be misleading for anyone searc...

I come to this site to learn where and how to fish and believe I should share what I know just as others share. I practice C&R and hope that people who keep fish use their judgme...

Fishing Alice in the winter is probably worth a try. Last March or early April I fished it right after it was stocked and a resident told me that the fishing for hold-overs was really hot in early March.

Lewis Street is the bridge over the Sky at Monroe, highway 203 I think, runs south to Duvall. There are plenty of pinks in the river both above and below Lewis Street.
