Re: Favorite Lake in Washington?

One of my favorites is Lake Roosevelt, it's a year-round fishery, not too far from Spokane and has a nice mixture of species to target.

Re: Chapman Lake update

hewesbob,

Can you please post contact info for emailing Region 1 personnel?

Names, email addresses, etc?

I would be happy to contact them and ask the hard questions and have lots of Sport-fishermen/women who would also like to email Region 1 as well.

Re: Chapman Lake update

I haven't seen any new updates on here or WDFW https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/washington/114/ about public access to Chapman Lake but noticed WDFW has planted the lake with another 100,000 Kokanee [urlhttps://wdfw.wa.gov/publications/01975/wdfw01975.pdf][/url] (It looks like 100.000 Kokanee per year fo...

Re: indiscriminate gill netting on Lake Spokane/Long Lake?

The article in yesterday's Spokesman Review said they are only targeting carp and pike http://www.spokesman.com/blogs/outdoors/2017/may/13/lake-spokane-carp-reduction-project-nets-550-carp-117-pike-first-week/ and that they are releasing large numbers of bycatch, but the dumpster I saw had more "byc...

indiscriminate gill netting on Lake Spokane/Long Lake?

Does anyone know what is going on with all the gill nets on Lake Spokane/Long Lake and several 20-yard roll-off dumpsters full of trout, bass, perch, crappie, and pike at the Riverside State Park; Nine Mile Recreation Area, Suncrest Park launch and possibly the Lake Spokane Campground? I just paid 8...

Re: Ice Reports 2016-2017

We headed out to Eloika late this morning just to take a look at the ice conditions. I'm happy to report the ice is still nice and solid, I checked the public launch and Jerry's and saw more people on the ice than I have seen all month. The ice is still 12-14" thick, the bottom 6-8" of ice is clear,...

Re: Diawa J-braid?

I have tried J-braid twice and been disappointed both times, I'll stick to Spiderwire stealth braid, It's never let me down and I can buy it in the 1500YD spools for under 100.00 in 6, 8, 10 & 15 lb test.
