Could've been stolen and left there after they took what they wanted? Since it's registered currently, I would think it wasn't abandoned. I know that stolen boats get stripped and left in odd places.

Yeah as stated that bracket shown in your pic is just a piece of angle iron painted black. Backup lights on my trailer is one of the single best upgrades I have done to mine, amazing the difference it makes putting the boat away in the dark!

Shes coming along very nice. You have given me some ideas with my trailer. A thought on the extra tongue under the nose of the boat you might add a roller there. Also, check your hitch to receiver connection, make sure that it isn't too rusty or if your hitch is new, scrape the powder coating/paint off where it contacts the receiver. Excellent result!! Seems most trailer light issues come down to bad grounds somewhere in the chain.
