I've seen a lot of shore access at (i've seen people park on orville road and walk to the shore)lake kapowsin, a bit at spanaway lake from spanaway lake park, i think Ohop lake has some decent access along orville road as well. I want to fish and cook out before/ leading up to fireworks in the tacoma/seattle area. I usually move around alot casting a nightcrawler on a wedding ring letting it hit bottom and twitching a bit, then slowly retrieving, once i get my first perch (especially if its of any decent size) i put my anchor down and continue fishing that one spot. The main reason i've heard of a boat launch fee is to cover the cost of the rebuilding/building the boat launch. If someone doesn't use the launch i dont think that the person should pay. Got a warning that the Southern part of american lake is starting to bloom. Have not witnessed it myself.
