Re: Plunking the Cowlitz
Ok, I grew up in Castle Rock. I'm going to try to help you out. Ok so, the mouth of the toutle is a lot like the war zone up at the barrier. Lol shoulder to shoulder. It's a snagging spot. Across the river, on chapman road, you can plunk there. It works really well. Camelot, that's the castle rock e...

Re: Northern Pikeminnow
I have no idea about using flies. But last summer I ended up getting a little smoker craft and hit the river hard. I was able to pay off the ol boy who sold that boat to me from catching them. If you're into bass fishing, sign up before leaving the launch. Go out and bass fish and you'll either be c...

Re: Columbia River bass
Well how big is the boat? I have a 1995 Nissan that pulls(with a bit of difficulty) a 21' thunder jet. I work Monday-Thursday 10-7pm....ish. Haha the 9-6pm Saturdays. I'm free most Fridays and all Sundays. I'm getting into bass fishing also, just saving my pennies for this bass boat up in Chahalis. ...

Re: the fresh-water lobsterette - crawfish lakes *UPDATE*
If the water is cold or the Craws are deep, I trap with a fresh trout . If it's a little chilly like the Coweeman Or Kalama river (cowlitz) I free dive for them. Goggles and snorkel and a mess bag. One you are in the water swimming, two, you work for your food and gives them a chance to get away. In...

I don't know how hard it would be to get them to thrive in Silver Lake, but my father always told me about bass fishing in the "dollar pads" how hard are those to get to take and thrive?

Re: Northern Pikeminnow
Northern Pike Minnow???? What's that? If you're talking about SQUAWFISH, those things will hit crank baits, tubes, grubs and a worm under a bobber or off the bottom.
