RE:Best lakes for carp and tench?

RE:Best lakes for carp and tench?
chevin, that's a pretty fish. what kinda carp is it? I believe that it is a koi carp. They have been introduced to some of the storm water drains to control the mosquitoe population. They fight well and take most of the baits that any other carp will take. I don't know how big they go, but I estima...

Behind my house, HUGE carp bed, with an honest 200+ fish making the area home in the summer. They are constantly cruising around, visible at night as they lay on the surface sucking stuff down, and during the day you can seem them mulling around. They also scare up when you paddle or row around in ...

I had a pot made. I got a bit of 4" dia pipe about 3' long and had a base and a handle welded to it. I heated it up. squeezed a pourer into one side and that does the job perfectly. Wheel weights are fine, but not all of them are lead. I often use that material on its own and sometimes I mix it with...

G'Day rac and gpc. Thanks for your notes - again plenty of interest there for me. I quite enjoy crabbing and I have dug for clams in Puget Sound and found them to be very tasty. Are the crabs there Dungeness crabs? I am quite partial to a feed of them too. Are the chinook fresh run from the ocean at...

RE:An Aussie in WA
Hi guys, that is the kind of information that will be very useful to me. I don't know about a boat as yet, I am hoping that it will be possible to hire one on a daily basis. I believe that on a number of the lakes in the area it is very difficult to get near the water from the bank - is that right? ...
