Re: Mandate Barbless Hooks For Lake Sammamish
The lake now turns over with much more algae and crud than before
The usual culprit for this in urban lakes is fertilizer runoff from the pretty yard crowd that then fuels algae blooms. Top that off with various pesticides and you see the lower end of the food chain die ...

I just never lik...

Re: Mandate Barbless Hooks For Lake Sammamish

So unless there's a definable conservation need and reasoning my thoughts are why give the precedent to move fisheries to mo...

Re: Statewide deregulation of Bass and HB 1579

i'll be honest, i was never a fan of limits and management in the past on lakes that salmon actually use. But the truth of the matter is the runs are dwindling and habitat restortation like that won't offset the sheer number of puget sound fish that get caught commercially up in alaska or canada, or...

Re: the grind of sorting the fishing gear

It's not that good honestly. Last time I was down there the weather was cool and the blegills where a bit sluggish...so when I took the kiddo down to a drainage ditch to drink around, we only caught like 30 in an hour. The smallest was 4in and her biggest was about a foot long

the grind of sorting the fishing gear

So we're moving outta state, to someplace with better opportunities and much simpler regs, and now I'm going through a garage packed with gear. Luckily i know the area we're going and I can adapt a lot of stuff but just sorting through it all and packing let alone deciding of it's worth taking is so...

Re: whats the worst lure you have ever bought?

Hands down the worst was those helicopter lures they advertised on tv years ago. Never got a bite, let alone a fish but boy howdy did they twist your line into the prettiest rats nest you ever did see ](*,)
