Looking for float tube fins
Anyone out there have a set (single fin, or both fins) that you want to get rid off?
Doesn't need to be in great condition. Just need to find something preferably low priced...

Re: rules proposal: no limit on pan fish
Used to be there was no limit on spiny rays. I cannot think of one instance where any particular species of panfish was fished out - of any particular body of water. It is unlikely that there is enough pressure anywhere to decimate these resilient fish. I'm with the no limit group. onmygame For yea...

Re: Unweighted spoons
Many years ago, I tried casting an unweighted spoon off a pier. Didn't get any salmon, but couldn't keep the bullheads (staghorn sculpin) off. Must have caught dozens that day (all released).

Re: Whatcom Creek - Bellingham Wa
Think I might give it a shot today. It's been a couple years and the Nooksack refuses to give me any luck. Question, is floating a jig in compliance with anti-snagging rules? Seems like it straddles the line legally. The answer depends on your jig. If the hook on your jig is more than 3/4 inch from...

Re: Lake Washington smallmouth bass
Try Gene Coulon park in Renton. Lots of shoreline access (dock and shore). All of the parks along the Bellevue and Kirkland shoreline will also get you into bass. Basically, all or most parks should give you a shot at good bass. I have yet to find a public park on Lake WA where I have been skunked f...

Plasti Dip liquid rubber (not the spray) is good for fixing leaks in neoprene. The stuff will soak into the neoprene and seal the pin holes

Re: Snohomish river
I was on the sno & sky in several spots yesterday, saw lots of fish rolling. Unfortunately they seemed fairly stale and didn't see any hookups. I was twiching a marabou jig with no hits. I decided to switch up to a float and small jig (1/16 and 1/32 oz jigs under a float has always been the ticket ...

Humpy spoons
I've caught river humpies on lots of things: hootchies, marabou jigs, dick nite, kastmaster, sandshrimp, corky + yarn, buzz bombs, crappie jigs, wedding rings, etc. But, I've never caught a humpy on those pink teardrop spoons that seem to flood the shelves of the sporting good stores during every hu...

Re: Lake Washington Dock Fishing
Believe it or not, I do really well in Lake WA fishing a white crappie tube about 3 feet under a bobber. This is from a dock or shore. Cast it out and work it over the weeds slowly.
The traditional bass rigs frustrate me too much on lake WA, due to the thick weeds near the docks/shorelines.

Re: new to saltwater fish. what those at Mukilteo pier...
Flounder and sole will munch on the barnacles, as well as the sea perch.
When you see a dark fish that "turns white" when it flips around the pilings, those are most likely sole/flounder.
The pile perch are also "light colored" and can be seen eating off the piling.

Regs change from one river to another. in some rivers, unciipped jacks are OK to retain; in other rivers, they are not.

also, according to the rule quoted above, unclipped jacks would be illegal to retain (since they are not "hatchery chinook")

Re: $6 baitcaster
I saw a similar ad for some other product (a kayak paddle) on Amazon, a couple weeks ago. An item with an unbelievably low price. It appeared to be a seller with 0 ratings. They were selling not only the paddle, but also non-fishing items like electronics, household goods, etc. What was strange was ...

Re: Lighted public docks on Lake Washington?
here's the issue you will have with night fishing. In general, fishing is open 24/7 by the WDFW, unless there is some special night closure rule in the regs book. However, what the WDFW allows and what a city allows are different. You can fish at night legally in Lake WA, but you can't fish from a B...
