Re: Chapman Lake update
It's been several years since I fished Chopaka, but remember having a good day there. Had one on that broke the leader half way up. I remember the road was a bit of a challenge getting up to it. If my memory is correct, June is when the Mayfly hatch is on. It's a blast when they are hitting on those...

Re: Chapman Lake update
I'm still vertical, Bodo. Had some medical hurtles (actually 3) to get over the last 12 months but making progress. Didn't even fish last year. I've got my license for this year so the game is back on. Still as cantankerous as ever.

I was pleased that Clarence was selected to receive one of France's highest awards for his military service in WWII. It is truly an honor to have been a good friend of his for the last 53 years. He certainly deserves it. :salut: http://www.spokesman.com/picture-stories/french-legion-honor/" onclick=...

Re: Save Badger Lake! - Spokane County, WA
They actually did listen about the treatment of fish lake by Cheney. They were going to plant the lake with tiger trout again. A couple of us convinced them to not put those in but rainbows and brook trout. The tiger trout were not keeping the pan fish at bay. It was a lengthy meeting but they did d...

Re: Pass Lake in the super heat
I don't think the heat will have a big effect on Pass Lake. The forecast for the Burlington area for the next 5 days is highs in the low to mid 80's. The surface temperature will rise some, pushing the fish to deeper water so they can find their comfort zone and more oxygen. According to the lake ma...

You pretty much nailed it Bodo :) And let's not forget the burning of the "draft cards". Something totally foreign to the young males of today. A very difficult time for our nation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp5JCrSXkJY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: colors for a raft
Think about a boat coming down the lake at 40 mph and not seeing you til the last second. It happened to me while I was in a tan colored float tube. He finally spotted me when I began to wave my arms and fly rod. Scared the hell out of me. Since then I think about visibility. While in my pontoon boa...

With the fishing general season opener next week, now would be a perfect time to run a feature story on the news.
