RE:GIANT salmon in creeks above Granite Falls

Not a good idea to net, or spear them. probably not a good idea to "catch" them either. There is no salmon season for Canyon Crk, therefore it is illegal to target them. RE:My first fly...

yeah, once you get going in the rowboat it should be better, try lowering your rod tip so it is almost even with the line. i know it sounds weird, but then when you get a hit, and set the hook you dont have 4 feet of slack to pick up first, also the problem with slack between strokes will be reduced...

RE:My first fly...

the reason the fish hit when you pick up the pace, or change from bottom to trolling is because it is doing something different. next time you are trolling and not getting anything troll in an "S" shape down on the same track. when the rod is on the inside of the turn it will go slack or move slower...

RE:Kings in the skykomish

RE:Kings in the skykomish

Curado, the best thing you can do is start reading, and trying things. try google searching, start looking other places. this early in the run, not a whole lot of people are going to want to start telling people what, where, when, how. another place to ask is bait and tackle shops, the always have r...
