Re: Brands of welded hull boats..?
Portland has a lot more "sportsmen" than Seattle So a lot more of our kinda boats. My DB came from half way there. The big thing about down there is no Amazon or Microsquish to inflate the prices. Buy there, sell here. Give a shout if you want to make a run and look at some.

Re: Brands of welded hull boats..?
Looking for a used welded boat...….. Well, Hewes has the market by far but that's because of contract production, they have the numbers. Does it mean they're the best manufacturer, they have the numbers. Since you're looking at a used one, that just means lots of searching and looking. You might eve...

Re: Lake Washington Boat Launch in Kenmore
Boating Safety Card, what's that? When we bought the boat the dealer said it was safe! Yes RSeas, funny, but for the poster, If you don't have a Boaters Safety Card when the safety inspection happens at the launch or you give LE a reason to come aboard, not having it will net you a healthy...

Re: Lake Washington Boat Launch in Kenmore
I'm not sure about needing bread crumbs or GPS, how about just using the navigation buoys, just stay between them till you get to the last pair. Kind of what they're there for. Kind of a silly question but do you have your boating safety card?

Re: Rats taking residence within vehicle engine compartment??
OH Chris! a little slow but that's just nasty, I have the same trouble around here. My neighbor to the North is just a pig, wish I could get rid of them...…. many problems would resolve them selves if they were gone. My dogs are always on the hunt for them (the rats). The crawl space under the house...

Re: Perch fishing on Lake Erie
Very shallow, lots of pads and it gets very warm every year. Big put and take lake. Looks like a good 14,000 plants, with 10,000 or so being fry. So, probably a good lake to stay away from on opening weekend. The State says there are Bass and Perch in the lake. Go give it a try but wait till after o...

Re: Towing a boat over passes
Make sure the chains are in to show if they're check and just do it. I tow my drifter and my customweld over either pass and don't even give it a second thought. The boat trailers handle better than the truck towing them. The only time I've ever had any trouble with a trailer in the snow is electric...

Roger that! Same here. My only complaint with the buddy heaters is wind will put them right out. Canvas is a must and keep the curtain closed.hewesfisher wrote:We have the standard size Buddy/Mr. Heater and place on the bow step which takes it out of the way. Works great.
