Re: NOTICE to all Pike Fishermen
Been out of the fishing game for a year or two, I was looking forward to Pike fishing this summer, and now I see a lot of drama has happened in the time Ive been gone... Ironically enough, Ive been involved heavily in politics during that time... sad to see the world effecting us here to.. Part of t...

RE:RED LAKE BY LONG LAKE (spokane county)
Ive fished it two dozen times, mostly a few years ago, only stunted LM bass in there. Very few bluegill, and some bull head. It has potential If the owners wanted to manage it , But they don't. So it is what it is.

Northern Pike Moved To June IFPAG Meeting Agenda. Discussion of the Pend O'Reilles pike fishery has been postponed until the June meeting in Ellensburg so tribal fisheries managers can participate.
Does anyone know what this is in regards to?

RE:Upset
I can only imagine being 12 and catching a fish that big, it would go home, hell for that fact I would probably keep it today. Catch and Release has its place but keeping ONE fish does not hurt the population of that lake, there are probably many more as big if not bigger. The people that take a li...

RE:Drop Shot Help for Smallies
Hmmm.... I have only fished a senko like 3 times, and never caught anything on one... SO its hilarious to think people are using a senko as a crutch? Drop shotting to me is just something i would use during the warmer part of the day to target suspending bass, not as a crutch at all... Dont really u...

I think it could be a Green sunfish.. if it was wow, we should have kept it, because this bad boy went close to a pound. I suck at taking pictures, it doesn't do it justice, it was as big , if not bigger than my hand, and i can palm a basketball.. anyone have experience with Green sunfish? Is that w...

Fish ID
Need help in identifying this fish. Doesn't have the dark markings im used to seeing on a blue gill, also, notice the front yellow fin, and the strip of yellow / white on the back fin. Also a strange top fin as well as the gaping mouth... What is this? Just a massive blue gill that's discolored? Is ...

I am not an expert at drop shotting, but I am a bit fond of the technique such that I decided to write a little something on it. http://www.washingtonlakes.com/ReadArticle.aspx?id=260 With regard to baits to use, don't limit yourself to just worms. Just about any lure that can be stuck with a hook ...

RE:The Never Ending Catch and Release Debate
Tagwatson360 hit the nail on the head. Its the fisherman keeping the "trophy" fish that get C&R people heated, including myself. For all the reasons Tag already said, It takes to long for a fish like that to grow to be eaten, when theres tons of smaller bass and millions of perch to be had. I know s...
