I am new to fly fishing. I want to fly fish out here in Black Lake in Thurston county but the problem is that I'm not sure how to fly fish at a lake also since I can't see any visible fish. Thank you for all advice.

I just bought braided line so I hope it helps when I bottom fish but the problem is how much leader in length should I use for mono to tie at the end of my line when I'm both fishing with lures and on bottom? Thanks for all help!
