Re: Advice on I-pilot/Bow Mount Minn Kota?
I have had a Terrova with I-pilot for several years. I love it. You are correct about models, one option is I-piolt link is also available. The difference is that link will "link" with a Hummingbird to control the boat. With the I-pilot I run it with a remote and can set it to hold a heading or foll...

Re: Anyone have a trailer dolly?
When I had a 15 smoker craft Alaskan I moved it around with one something like you are looking at. It didn't have the height adjustment or the third wheel. Cost around 50 or 60 .When I moved up to a 17ft smoker craft Fazer I couldn't do it by hand and had to go power. The hand power worked fine on g...

Re: Anyone have a trailer dolly?
I have had a "Powermover" dolly for several years and it has worked great. You can call and tell them what you have and how you will be using it for their advice on what you will need. I have one of the smaller ones and it ran around $1,100. I thought when I went from a 17' smoker to my 20' Searunne...

If your fishing in 9 with a unclipped fish in the boat you will be in trouble. The fish in the boat have to be legal for the area you are fishing in. You could move thru but not fish.

I assume you will be in the San Juan islands area, you could pick up a some bottom fish or crab. A crab ring or snare should do with out investing a ton of money. Check the regs.

What I see is it is on Green Diamond Resource company land. You would need to check on there site and see if they allow access. I know many of the tree farms a charging for access now.

Re: Seals
Explosives work great too. Something with a waterproof fuse and "m80 sized" taped to a weight to sink quickly. The dock shakes and rumbles, the bubbles float up from the bottom. Then, oddly enough, the few times that Ive tried this the squid seemed to hit hard immediately. Seal free for a few hours...

Re: A Bait & Release Question On Lake Roosevelt
The wild trout do not meet the minimum size of a trout to be kept. Because there is no minimum size for a wild fish. You can not keep them. So you don't count a fish you could not have kept.

Re: A Bait & Release Question On Lake Roosevelt
If you could not keep it you should not have to count it. If I catch a wild king I can not keep I do not have to count it. I understand the intent is to keep the catch and release of unmarked fish down, but how can the WDFW have it both ways.

Re: Do I need to exchange my battery?
Short answer, yes. I think you already figured out that you need a deep cycle. A starting battery is not made to be run down and recharged over and over. I am sure some one else can give you greater details on what to look for. In fact I am sure I have read other threads on batteries on this site.

Here is an example of the difficulty in knowing what the rule is. I wanted to see how it is written on releasing wild fish on Lk Roosevelt and I don't see the rule at all in the regs or changes online. Larry I get what you are saying about the impact, can you tell me where to find the rule on releas...
