"Another temp that has interested me but I have not come across is for the crayfish. At what temp. do they come out of being dormant. I have used huddlebugs this year with no success because I believe that fish know that it is not the ideal temp. for this forage to be around at they are not seeking...

In Maltby, theres some small snowflakes, but the snows not really sticking, and theres only a trace of it on the grass.

Well the snow ruined my day.. I Thought I'd stop by flowing lake this afternoon and try my luck at catching a few recently planted trout. The fish were no where to be found even though there was a decent sized midge hatch going on...

i have one as well, but sadly i havent kept it up to date. The last entry was from like a year ago.. I usually include the date, water temperature, what the fish were biting, any notable hatches, weather, and the locations (depth and area) of caught fish.

A few years back, i fished little silver trout spinner bait and caught 15 off the dock in about half an hour, nothing big, but i wasnt using that big of a lure.

Any one fish the columbia river behind the rocky reach dam for bass? What are the bass in the coulumbia doing this time of year? Hanging out in the shallows? or are they still in spawn? And what do people typically use on the columbia? Crawdads?

ok, since no one can answer the first question, , i have a 2nd one, does any one fish the columbia for bass? If so how deep do they usually hold and in what type of water should i be looking for them in this time of year? Riffles? behind islands? rocky shallow beaches?

dont really have a favorite, although i prefer to fish poppers over trolling or casting towards structure with steamers.

Rocky Reach Dam
Any one know of any non salmon/sturgeon fishing oppurtunitys behind the rocky reach dam? I was thinking of going for small mouth behind it. And i'm assuming they'll probably be on the beds right now or in the shallows eating right?

i've trolled for bass at twin lakes midday, i caught 30 1-3lb bass in 3 hours just trolling around the lake next to lilly pads and beaver huts.
