Arrived at the lake around 3:20 PM. VERY HOT! Water was clear and glassy. Used POP gear and some extra lead to help sink on a hot day. No help. Spent about 3 hours on the lake and did not get a thing...

Went out around 4PM. Weather was calm and no other boats on the water. Great fishing! Caught our limit by 7:30. Lots of rocks and weeds at the bottom.....so stay off of the bottom.

Plant trout are aggressive on the bite. I've been trolling with a wet fly with a spinner & a piece of worm. I caught a nice carry over rainbow that was 2 1/2 #. Bass are not biting yet, to cold. ...
