Starting fishing Cassidy about 6:00PM trolling a jig. Caught 5 Crappie in the first 15 minutes. About 6:30 I casted my jig about 40 feet from the south bank and got an immediate hit. It was a 2 and a half pound large mouth. Sure was fun catching it on a panfish setup (4lb test). I took a picture with my phone and released him back. Overall I have caught over 200 Crappie in the last 6 weeks or so. I have found that pumpkin color works best at least for me. A month ago I also caught an 18 inch Trout trolling a jig at sunset using the same light tackle. I practice catch and release on everything even the large trout. I love this lake and I meet new people everytime I go.
