Lake Sixteen today, one of my favs. After a disappointing trip on Lake Ketchum yesterday I felt it was time to redeem myself. Started out dragging a pass lake fly, got two hits right away off this pattern than nothing more as I made my way down the shoreline to the north end of the lake. Decided a change up was in order and tied on a size 8 green carey. Noticing a group of fish rising between a boat anchored with two people still fishing and the shore I dropped a cast in the middle of the rising fish. Fish On! Got that one landed, cast out again and another solid take. Third cast resulted in another fish to the tube. Three fish in three casts, this is gonna be fun if it keeps up. Every cast out resulted in another fish or a strike. Seemed like the trout were fighting each other to be first to grab the fly! I kept five fish and lost and released many more. Unfortunately the wind kicked up pretty good and that ended sight casting to rising fish so I decided to call it a day and head to the ramp. Not a bad day at all on Lake Sixteen.
