How to get there: Head for Dayton then stay on Hwy 12 until you get to Tucannon Rd and then take a right on Tucannon (from Dayton). Tucannon Rd is paved until you get to Camp Wooten so the road is good. It's a ways out there but definitely worth it. It's a pretty quite spot.

I haven't been fishing since I was a kid and I'm now 33 years old so I didn't expect to catch anything but I did catch 2 rainbows about 12" long, while my brother and dad caught nothing. Guess who's the fisherman in the family?! Rainbow lake is a pretty nice lake, there's trees and restrooms nearby and there is even a spot for handicapped people to fish from.

Save your money on bait and just get worms as the fish seemed to love them. We tried fishing with powerbait but they just didn't like it. Worms were much better. I caught my two fish about ten minutes apart so they were definitely biting. The only drawback is there are a lot of smaller fish in the lake and nibble on your bait until there is nothing left.

I will be going up there again next month to camp. Camping spots have no electricity or water so if you plan on camping up there be prepared.
