Today was my first trip to Loon. I've heard good things about it, but it wasn't very productive for me. My friend Mike and I trolled a various assortment of wedding rings, spoons flashers and other trolling goodies, but only managed to catch about 3 8-9" fish each. The water temp is 66 degrees, and it was a very nice day... upwards of 80 degrees if I had to guess. We trolled along the shores in about 30-40' of water and the fish finder showed a lot of fish, but they just weren't biting. I think I'll give this lake another try after I get some downriggers on my boat.
