Another good outing on the Snake, the only reason this one didn't get a 5 was the wind! It was relentless and kept 3 foot whitecapped waves rolling down the main river. So most of our fishing was in the campground marina, but the smallies were still biting. We caught and kept a mess of small ones (less than 1 lb) that made an excellent fish fry. The highlight was a 3.25 lb'er on Sunday that was released to make more baby bass! We still ventured out into the river a couple of times. Luckily, 2 of 3 kids in the boat thought it was as much fun as a roller coaster ride! I can hardily wait to come back when the forecast calls for calmer conditions.
P.S. I agree with Dave of the BB of BL, a pox on litterbugs! The riprap along the roads and the marina shoreline had litter in every spot where a shore fisherman had been. Pack it in, Pack it out!!!!
