Got the chores finished and was on the lake at 5 pm. Worked my way around the lake casting into pads, logs, etc. and trolling an olive next gen woollybugger. Only one light take, didn't get the hook set. At 6:30 near the launch area I saw 3 fish jump within casting range so I quit kicking and cast in a complete circle around the pontoon boat. Must have been the wrong color bug. Too bad, 1 of the trout looked to be about 3 lbs! Beautiful afternoon to be out, intermittent light breeze, not enough to make casting a challenge. Left fishless at 7:45 pm.
