I took the drift boat out on this lake for the first time Sat. I rowed out to the main body of water and trolled it from about 10:30a - 2:30p. Nailed 3 nice CT's (11-13 in) on a #70 Hot Shot around the middle of the lake in between the stumps. They had reddish-orange meat, and were a tasty lunch fried with bacon in the boat! This is an interesting lake, full of lots of fallen trees, and stumps sticking out of the water, lilly pads, and weeds. It also looks like alot of false banks. (Impossible to fish from the shore!) This makes the fishing a lil tough, but also gives lots of cover for fish. It looks like this lake is a flooded meadow? Also whats the deal with the old falling apart dock on the N side of the lake? Was there another access at one point in time? Looks like some history there...
THE GOOD...
1. Fished by myself all day!
2. NO HOUSES ON THE LAKE!
3. Lots of wildlife. (Big Canadian Geese)
4. Caught fish.
THE BAD...
1. THE 1 PRIMATIVE BOAT LAUNCH SUCKS!
2. Trash/dumped sh** @ the launch. (I picked up plenty!)
