Went out early Sunday morning with a buddy for a day of smallmouth fishing on Lake Washington. Started out on the South side of Mercer Island about 6:15 and worked our way up the east channel. Landed one smallmouth about 1 lb. Only had one other bite the rest of the day. Water temp. was about 47.5 F in the channel, and the warmest water found on the day was about 48 F. It seems the water is taking longer to warm up this year than last. The fish have yet to make it into the shallows for spawning and I will most likely wait until the water reaches atleast the lower 50's before heading back out.
I did see some other boats out, but most were working deep water and very slow.
Tight lines and always C&R.
