First trip to Beaver Lake. I got to the lake about 2:00 p.m. launched the canoe and started trolling a Woolly Bugger. No hits. Anchored and tried a bead head Prince. Intantly began to get strikes. Switched to a Yellow Humpy and continued to catch fish. The cutthroat were not large - 7 to 9 inches - but they were fiesty. Caught about sixteen (catch and release) before it got late enough to be heading home. Good experience even if the fish were on the small side.
