Large clear cut logging projects in the hills surrounding this lake has lead to massive muddy runoff. The lake is sitting a foot and a half higher than I've ever seen it (I grew up on this lake) and the result is skiddish fish. I caught one meal-sized trout after a long afternoon of dock fishing but didn't measure it. Wish I'd have let it go but kept it to pan fry and the result was a muddy tasting fish with mushy flesh. I strongly suggest releasing anything you catch here, and not just so I have a chance to catch it!
