After reading reports about hot perch fishing on lake
Washington, I decided to try some pier fishing in the morning. I arrived at Coulon park at the first light. Almost immediately I brought up three bass and a perch of about 2" each on a worm. later, after casting to a jumping fish a thousand times I finally landed a four pound smallie on a spinner. I sent her back on her way, and moved to a different pier. I ended up on mercer island, and found a school of 8" perch off a weedline of about 20
feet.I caught about 20, and later left. I am, however , hoping to come back and catch some ones worth filleting in a few days.
