My dog and I arrived at the lake at 9:00 am.The weather was
overcast, about 65 degrees. One boat out on the lake while I was
bankfishing.Casting and pitching artificials till about 10:30, a couple of more boats arrived loading into the water when all of sudden fish started jumping into a frenzy. I saw a nice silver take a leap- a several pan size stockers but what really took my eyes were some big smallmouths right in front of me about 20 ft. from the bank. All I could see were their top fins and whopping tails swishing in the water looked like they were spawning. I
cast my crankbaits and even some banjo lures but could not arouse them. I'm coming back with the boat. The lake has bank access and is recently remodeled. The boat launch parking can fill up quick.I caught the biggest largemouth of my life out of this lake and I've seen huge fish of other species also present. Check it out when its not crowed like during the week days early morning. good luck.
