We went down to Lake Sawyer in the morning. We fished a weedy cove at the south end of the lake. The perch were active and we managed to catch about 20 in an hour, on worms fished below a float. Later we fished in the outlet of Covington Creek and caught 4 dandy cuthroats on rooster tails. The creek itself opens on June 1, and when we went there trout were rising all over the creek.
