The weather was overcast today so I decided to go to Rattlesnake lake for the first time in my life. I had heard it was a wonderful lake to flyfish on. I arrived about 9:30 in the morning after about three hours of driving around trying to find the lake. I had gotten wrong directions. I started paddling out in my float tube and came across a stump so decided to cast my scud around it. I had an immediate hit and it was like that for the entire three hours that I endured the rain. I lost count at 23 and must have caught five or ten more 9-11" in the last 45 minutes before I decided to give it a rest and get some lunch. I released all of them so that I could come back and have that much fun another day. This is a wonderful place to go.
