After baseball practice I had nothing to do, so I went to Buffalo
Bill's for some advise. They said most places are closed except Beaver Lake. When I got up to Beaver Lake I only saw a few fishers. One guy caught a 8 in. rainbow. I heard that they just stocked it with 5 in. trout. I got a little nibble and tried to set the hook but it was gone.
Over in the shallow water corner of the park I saw a lot of action by the fish. Man, they were jumping all over the place. I threw out a dry fly under a bobber.(mesquite pattern). Some fish jumped at it. But nothing. I would say that fishing should pick up as the year goes just because the 5 in. trout will grow and be able to take your bait and not just nibble at it. Use power bait.
