I took two friends out to Spanaway Lake in Pierce County on March 20th We fished for 8 hours and only had two bites. When launched we were told by the dock attendant that all the small fish had been eaten by the birds. I think he was right. We saw one man bring in a four pound trout from the bouys straight out from the boathouse. Other than that the only fish we saw were those the Dept. of Fisheries dumped that afternoon into the lake at the boat launch.
