While fishing for crappie yesterday we started catching Rainbows. We were using our regular crappie stuff. Ultra-lite rods 4lb.test,16th oz. jigs and these rainbows just ate us up. This is a special rules lake. Barbless hooks no bait, and two Trout limits. The Rainbows that we caught averaged three pounds. For anyone looking for a quiet place to be for a few day's I would consider coffee pot. This lake also has perch, crappie, and large mouth. Remember to check the special rules. Also catch and release.
