My husband, myself, and our 2 and 4 year old fished at the resort off the dock and caught our limit of trout(rainbows and silvers) by noon. Many others were catching fish as well, on shore as well as in boats. It was a beautiful sunny day and we really enjoyed ourselves. It cost us $6.00 to fish off the dock, but well worth it when you have young kids that get impatient when you are not catching anything! This is about our fourth trip out to Clear lake and so far we have not been disappointed. It does get
very busy at the resort and on the lake on a hot day though, as the dock is also a swimming hole. Also when its hot, there are a lot of wave riders, speed boats, and water skiers.(Something I thought was off limits on this lake according to you overview) One thing I noticed though is through all the water traffic it did not seem to bother the fish as they still were biting. If you need a place to take the kids fishing where they will catch something try this lake and resort. The people who run it are very friendly and willing to help you find the right bait!
