Fished Chain Lake on June 19th, a sunny and somewhat windy day. Threw mostly spinners and small crankbaits for bass, only producing 2 small trout. One other boat produced one foot long bass after beating the perimeter of the lake with rattle traps. The shoreline of the entire lake seems very inviting for a good bass population. The trout seemed very active on the surface. It seems to me that attacking this lake for bass during the day is a bad idea, since the water feels pretty warm on the surface. I'll go in the early morning soon and if anyone has any tips for this small lake, please feel free to let me know.
