We arrived about 2:00 and walked down the south side of the lake. Surprised at the substantial number of fisherman (10 plus boats as well as shore anglers) and some sort of horse-back riding group camped out. On the first cast I hooked and lost a nice 14" fish. Caught another 12" right away and then two back-to-back 8 inchers before the "bite" was over. Me and my buddy thought we were in for one of those rare "too good to be true" days and had a limit of fish mentally on ice. We had a few more light bites, but my buddy never caught a thing. Powerbait with an egg worked right off the bat, then nothing. Beautiful, wind-free day... Cold beer! Good to get out of Seattle.
