If I told you Burke Lake had great fishing the one day I was there I'd be lying to you, but the fish that were caught by other people were good size; 4 pound largemouths were caught and were constantly flopping out of the water, along with muskies that had to have passed 40 inches. The strategy for the large ones was to fish the coves with plastic worms (particularly the cove just to the right of the main dock) slowly.
