After a treachorus 4 mile uphill backpacking trip I arrived at scenic Lake Annette. The first night I tried a 1/32 ounce Mepps near the creeks mouth. Caught 2 small cutthroat and a whole bunch of snags after about 2 hours of fishing. The following day I mixed blue and nightcrawler powerbait off the bottom with a 40'' leader. Fished the entire day and landed about 10 rainbows varying from 6-14''. The following morning I tried a final cast and hooked an extremly large fish. To my frustration the fish took out line and wrapped itself 3 times around a submerged log. With the fish to deep to wade for I gave up and broke my line with a swift tug. All in all I had a great time and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this lake. BRING RAFT!!!
