I stopped by Ohop lake yesterday on my way home from fishing all
day to no avail on the mighty Cowlitz river and saw almost everyone fishing from the shore with fish. There were about 6 people fishing near the boat launch and each had at least 2 trout from about 10 to 12 inches. Looks like they had just come out of the hatchery truck recently. There were also about 5 boats out on the lake, but I didn't see if they had anything.
Everyone from shore was using power bait on a slip sinker setup, and had all been fishing there for less than 2 hours.
