Ran up to Lake Stevens to test some trailer repairs I made. Got there about 2:00pm on a beautiful sunny day as the wind came up. The skiers and the jet skis don't seem to affect the fishing much, though I have had better luck when I can get there in the morning.
Trolled the east side of the lake and out by the aeration stuff using a red wedding ring spinner behind a 4/0 dodger. Fished from 25 to 40 feet down with downriggers and ultra-light trout poles. I had to modify my trolling pattern to basically go with the wind, as it was hard to go against it.
Took home a 14" and a 12" and let 5 to 6 smaller ones (8 to 10") go. The 14" put up a superb fight on my light tackle. It made two good runs before I could ease it into the net!
