I've been curious about Power since there were no reports yet on this lake. The lake is very pretty. There is a large Osprey nest on an old snag sticking out of the lake itself. There are a number of other interesting old snags sticking out that look like good "fish" spots.
The lake was 2/3 frozen over and I had to cross over a frozen marshy spot to get to the closest open water. Calispell creek runs in at that area and the ice was sketchy. I still had to break through up to 4 inches of ice for about 10 feet to get to open water.
The water was frigid. I don't have a thermometer but I would guess 40 degrees or lower. I fished around for 5 hours (as long as I could stand the cold) and had a few solid strikes! I landed one pretty little rainbow (11 inches), but the water was so cold it didn't feel like fighting much. Once close to my tube it livened up a bit. I had the most action on a wine/brown W. bugger.
This lake was frozen in most parts and I was only able to fish a small area. I'll be back in the spring to try this lake out again. Until them, Good luck to all!- Smooth
