Went fishing around 8:30 in the morning on Tuesday the 15th at Lake Goodwin with good friend Dennis Nease. We started out trolling small thin bladed spoons (Dick Nite's & Needlefish) on 2-3 colors of leadcore with an 8 ft. leader of flourocarbon leader. Outstanding results!!
Dennis caught (and released!) a beautiful cutthroat, guestimatted to be around 22 inches, just gorgeous. Once the jet-skiers hit the water, we had to use the downriggers (the jetskiers were coming so close to the boat they would have cut off anything that didn't immediately get way down) and switched to gang-trolls w/wedding rings. Caught 5 planter 'bows, nothing to brag about. If you have kids, take them to the north end of the lake and drift with worms with a split shot or two, you'll hook more bluegill (pumpkinseeds?) than you can shake a stick at, but they are all small.
